There is something inside of a father that guides, encourages and supports us.  I call them fatherly instincts and I have learned to listen to them. I have found these instincts have given me good counsel and lead to good decisions even though my mind might have resisted at first. Therefore, I offer observation #47 from my book Fatherhood in 60 Minutes or Less.

Your fatherly instincts are almost always right.  Trust them.

Fatherhood in 60 Minutes or Less Blog: Observation #1 Parental Instruction

I want to be the source of learning and inspiration for my children.  Sometimes, however, try as I might, my children resist taking in any bit of wisdom or assistance I offer leading me to humorous observation #1 from my book Fatherhood in 60 Minutes or Less. 

Children will accept instruction from anyone so long as “anyone” is not their parent.
